3-Hour Free UX Design Workshop
Workshop Overview:
This 3-hour introductory workshop aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design. The course is structured to cover the basics of both UI and UX, empowering participants with the knowledge and skills needed to create user-centric designs.
Throughout the course, participants will gain insights into the vital role UI/UX plays in the success of businesses across industries (including non-tech sectors). Practical aspects, such as wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing, will be explored, alongside an introduction to popular UI design tools. The course will also delve into the user-centric aspects of UX design, with a focus on user research, the flow of information via information architecture, and the creation of user personas.
The concepts taught will be highlighted through case studies and examples, allowing participants to connect theory with real-world scenarios. The course will conclude with a Q&A session, fostering engagement and addressing any lingering questions.

- Apply User Research methodologies such as User Personas to better empathize with your users
- Create a basic wireframe, enabling you to better visualize and communicate your designs to your team

2.1 Principles of UI Design
- Clarity, Familiarity, User Ccntrol, Hierarchy, Flexibility, Accessibility
- Consistency, shortcuts, informative feedback, sense of closure, the ability to undo and make changes, supporting the Control that a user has, cognitive load
2.2 Responsive Design
- Basics of responsive web and mobile design
2.3 Wireframing and Prototyping
- Introduction to wireframes and their purpose
- From paper sketches to Low-fidelity prototypes – exercise

Instructor
Jeremiah has a decade of experience in both B2B and Consumer Marketing and another six years of experience as a WordPress Developer / Graphic Designer. He worked in-house as Head of Marketing with several F&B groups before starting UNGRUMP, where he has worked with clients such as Tongue Tip Lanzhou Beef Noodles, Fitness First, Impact Investment Exchange, Workwell.SG and many more clients across Southeast Asia.
